Messy Church

We're delighted to be launching a monthly Messy Church service taking place at 3pm on the 3rd Sunday of each month!

Messy Church is a well-established national initiative which welcomes people to explore and engage with God in a structured but informal service. After a brief welcome and introduction, the bulk of a Messy Church service is centered around a range of activities which all relate to the story/theme of the day in different ways. There could be arts and crafts of all varieties, junk modelling, science experiments, games/challenges, quiet reflective space, and of course the potential for a little mess(!). It's also a place to share the messiness of life, so each activity has a host who both knows what the activity is, and welcomes and engages with those attending. At the end of the activity time, everyone regathers for a Bible story and short talk linking the various activities together, a prayer, and a song. It's especially suitable for families, but it's church - so all are welcome!

Come and join us at 3pm on Sunday 15th September as we start this brand new monthly service! This month we focus on creation and we’ll be making bug hotels and doing biscuit decorating as well as lots more fun activities. It’s for everyone - the young, and young at heart! So do join us if you can.

If you can’t make it this time, pop our next dates in your diary: 20th October and 17th November, 3pm until 4pm.

If you'd like to be kept updated about Messy Church plans, or want to suggest any ideas for it, please do get in touch - we'd love to hear from you.
