COP28: Taking stock of what’s needed on climate and nature.
A week from today, delegates from across the globe will be gathering in the UAE for COP28, the next annual UN Climate Summit. Hannah Eves, A Rocha UK's Policy and Campaigns Coordinator, explores what we need to see for climate and nature.
Spending time in God’s creation can reduce anxiety, boost our mood, encourage us to keep fit and active, connect us to our local community and introduce us to new friends. Yet the gifts nature brings to support our physical and mental health, as well as our economy and food, are under serious threat. Partners in Action adapt to climate change Climate change is creating new challenges for nature and conservation. Our summers are getting hotter and drier, and extreme rainfall events more frequent. Our Partners have to adapt, and are doing so in new and creative ways.
- Autumn/winter Root & Branch magazine. The theme of our current magazine is access to nature. The magazine includes well-researched articles, a theological reflection, news from A Rocha UK, stories from the international A Rocha family and more. - Take action during COP28. The UN climate change conference takes place between 30 November and 12 December in Dubai. A Rocha UK staff will be participating online and coordinating with members of sister A Rocha organisations from Africa and Asia attending in person. We will also be attending the Day of Action, congregating in Cardiff and London on Saturday 9 December - we’d love for you to join us!
