Perhaps Sunday mornings are busy with family or work; or perhaps you'd simply like more time worshipping in a different way on a Sunday. Whether you're a regular or a visitor, if you're looking for a good way to round off your weekend then come along to one of our Sunday evening services.
At St Anne's we have a range of different evening prayer services through the month; some musical, some spoken, some with a short sermon and others with time for reflection. All begin at 6pm in the Church.
- Taizé Prayer (1st Sunday of the month): a contemplative service with readings, prayers and times of silence interspersed with Taizé chants which you can join in with or simply listen to.
- Evening Prayer (2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month): a traditional spoken service using the Book of Common Prayer and including a short sermon as well as readings and prayers.
- Celtic Prayer (3rd Sunday of the month): a peaceful service with readings and a short reflection incorporating music and prayers from the Celtic tradition, which often focus on seeing God in creation.
